Scholarship for Outstanding International Undergraduates, Japan
The Institute of Science Tokyo, commonly referred to as Science Tokyo, is a prestigious Japanese university formed through the merger of Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Established to advance scientific innovation and interdisciplinary research, it builds on Tokyo Tech’s legacy of excellence in science and engineering while integrating medical and dental expertise.
The study program is open to privately funded international students (non-Japanese nationals) enrolled after April 2020, excluding government-sponsored students. Eligible candidates must not have exceeded the standard duration of their undergraduate studies and face no restrictions on their status of residence. New students enrolling in AY 2025 (25B) qualify based on top entrance exam performance, while those enrolled from AY 2020–2024 are assessed on their AY 2024 academic results.

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of each and everyone willing and ready to be a part of this free academic programme which will be taken in Japan.
- Undergraduate students enrolled after April 2020
- Privately funded international students (government-sponsored students are excluded)
- Must not have exceeded the standard duration of undergraduate studies
- No restrictions on status of residence
- For new students enrolled in AY 2025 (25B): Must be top performers in the entrance examination
- For students enrolled in AY 2020–2024: Based on academic performance in AY 2024
- Note: Students with a spring semester GPA below 3.0 will have their scholarship suspended.
