To be eligible for the PhD scholarship, applicants must have a master’s degree with a grade of 10 (or equivalent) for their thesis, and a weighted GPA of at least 8.2 (for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees combined) or 9.5 for the master’s degree alone.

• Have a master’s level education (following the 3+2 Bologna process).
• A grade of 10 (or equivalent) for the master’s thesis, according to the Danish 7-point grading scale.
• A weighted GPA of at least 8.2 on the Danish 7-point scale (combined bachelor’s and master’s degree) or 9.5 for the master’s degree alone. Documentation for being in the top 40% of the class can be submitted if grade requirements are not met.
• A relevant background in social sciences.
• Completion of the master’s program before starting the PhD.
• Proficiency in academic English (writing and speaking).

Additional requirements

1. A five-page PhD project description, including the research question, theoretical framework, method, proposed empirical material, and a 3-year work plan.
2. Copies of the bachelor’s and master’s degree diplomas, grade transcripts, and proof of top 40% class standing (if applicable).
3. A concise curriculum vitae (CV).
4. Any relevant publications or written work (e.g., master’s thesis).
5. Proof of English language proficiency may be requested later.
