To be eligible for the PhD scholarship, applicants must have a master’s degree with a grade of 10 (or equivalent) for their thesis, and a weighted GPA of at least 8.2 (for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees combined) or 9.5 for the master’s degree alone.
Qualified persons are entitled to Full Salary and Benefits (including teaching obligations, office space, travel costs, and tuition fees).

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of each and everyone willing and ready to apply for this scholarship.
- Have a master’s level education (following the 3+2 Bologna process).
- A grade of 10 (or equivalent) for the master’s thesis, according to the Danish 7-point grading scale.
- A weighted GPA of at least 8.2 on the Danish 7-point scale (combined bachelor’s and master’s degree) or 9.5 for the master’s degree alone. Documentation for being in the top 40% of the class can be submitted if grade requirements are not met.
- A relevant background in social sciences.
- Completion of the master’s program before starting the PhD.
- Proficiency in academic English (writing and speaking).
Additional requirements
- A five-page PhD project description, including the research question, theoretical framework, method, proposed empirical material, and a 3-year work plan.
- Copies of the bachelor’s and master’s degree diplomas, grade transcripts, and proof of top 40% class standing (if applicable).
- A concise curriculum vitae (CV).
- Any relevant publications or written work (e.g., master’s thesis).
- Proof of English language proficiency may be requested later.
