ARC Postgraduate Research Scholarships in Australia

The study award is open to domestic and international candidates must hold (or secure) an unconditional offer of admission in a Master by Research or PhD program within the Faculty, conduct research aligned with ARC-funded projects under the supervision of ARC grant holders, and possess at least an Honours (First or Second Upper) or a Master’s degree.

Qualified persons are entitled to Annual stipend equivalent to the University of Sydney’s Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate (currently AUD $41,753 p.a.), with tuition fee coverage for international students.

ARC Postgraduate Research Scholarships in Australia Qualifications

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of those willing and ready to apply.

• Applicants must either have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a Master by Research or PhD within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney.
• Research must be related to the ARC projects for which the student has applied, and must be conducted under the supervision of researchers holding the ARC grant that funds the project.
• Applicants must hold at least an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or a Master’s degree (or equivalent).
• Those without an unconditional offer of admission may apply, but no scholarship offer will be finalized until an unconditional offer of admission is granted.
