History of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA)

Way back  1988, the University of Abuja was born. The school is tertiary institution, located in the nation’s state capital, Abuja, which has admitted a good number of students. It all started from the temporary site, which was built for a primary school in Gwagwalada, which was its temporary site, the school was established under decree 110 of 1992 as amended. The school has three female hostels and two male hostels, a library and a medical centre. On like other federal universities, the major organs relating to the hierarchy of the school are: the Governing Council, the Senate, the Congregation and the Convocation, the Vice Chancellor, Two Deputy Vice Chancellors (Administration and Academic), the Registrar and the Secretary to the Council, the Bursar, the Librarian, Dean of Faculties, Directors of centers and Institute head of Department. UNIABUJA, only admits persons who choosed the school as first choice, hence any seeking admission into this school must make sure he has this school listed as the first choice. It offers a variety of courses, which you will soon discover, it only accepts admission offered by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board which is been abbreviated as JAMB (a recognized examination body).
