History of Kwara State Polytechnic

The current Rector of the school, is Abdul Jimoh Mohammed. Kwara State Polytechnic, is located in Illorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The school began with only 110 students, it was established in 1973, it offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma, which is a year and two year course respectively.  As a matter of fact, this school has over Eight rectors since its inception they includes:

Professor R.W.H Wright

Dr.  Samuel Adeyemi Oladosu

Dr. N.O. Oyeleke

Dr. A.A Saadu

Dr. Abdulkareem Babaita

Chief Ogunsola

Alhaji Masool Elelu etc.

Those are the names of persons who were rectors at the school. This school has a good reputation, as has affiliations with other tertiary institutions, it has produced gurus who are doing well in their various  professions.
