The School was founded as Anambra State University in 2000, the school has three campuses, one located at and the other at Igbarim, which were former site for Ekwenugo Okeke Polytechnic and College of Agriculture respectively and the Alor Campus, all in Anambra State.  The school has well equipped facilities in a serene environment with competent tutors, one of its structures is the school library, ICT center. 

The school library helps in providing students as well as academic staffs with recommended  text, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Center, helps as well for research purposes, as the school management has provided unlimited browsing plans to this aid.
