History of the University of Calabar (UNICAL

University of Calabar abbreviated as UNICAL is a federal  public institution located in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. It has many faculties which will best fit the various choices of students willing and ready to study at the School.  The history of the school can be traced to 1975 when it was established, before then the school was a campus of the University of Nigeria, the current Vice Chancellor was Florence B Obi, while the school’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and Administration currently are Oyo Ita and Grace Eno Nta respectively. The School on like other tertiary institutions in the country,  offers baccalaureate degree, Masters and Doctoral degrees. Well structured facilities are present in the school and a conducive environment  which will ease  the transfer of knowledge. The school is located in the outskirts of the city of calabar, having “Knowledge for service” as its motto, the school many gurus in various professions. Faculties available for study in the school are Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy, Biological Science to mention but a few.  Among it’s the facilities present in the school is the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) which helps in research, a platform where students and staff use to access the World Wide Web.
